Short BioFrom December 2001 to July 2002, Daniela Hall was a post-doctoral researcher in the Perceptual Computing and Computer Vision Group, Department of Computer Science, ETH Zürich, Switzerland. Now she moved back to France. She is participating in the CogVis project and is interested in object classification using local appearance. She obtained her PhD from the INPG, Grenoble, France in October 2001 under the supervision of J.L. Crowley. The thesis concerns Viewpoint Independent Recognition of Objects from Local Appearance. She holds a MSc (Dipl. Inform.) from the University of Karlsruhe. The Masters thesis topic is Recognition of Facial Expressions using Principle Components Analysis.
