  • [07.04.2008] The oral reexaminations in BM Informatik and the registrations for it are organized by the organizers of the ICS2 course. (Jens  Gallenbacher / Christian Wach). The expected date for the examination will be 23.4.2008.
  • [31.03.2008] Registration for oral reexamination ICS1 is possible until 7.4.2008. See section exams for more information.
  • [31.03.2008] The updated exam results are online in WebReg.
  • [26.03.2008] You can take a look at your exam ('Einsicht') next monday, March 31st, 9.00 - 13.00, in Room S202/A102. Please do not forget to bring a valid ID and your student card.

  • [20.03.2008] The Results of the ICS1 / BM Inf (part ICS1) are published in Webreg. Further information on the exam results is available in section exams. You can take a look at your exam ('Einsicht') on Mon, March 31st, between 9.00 and 13.00.

  • [12.03.2008] [Update 13.3.]
    - All students registered for Basismodul Informatik (ICS1 part) on 17.3.2008 will write in room S313/36. Please check in this pdf if your room is S313/36.
    - All students registered for the ICS1 exam at the 'Zentrales Prüfungssekretariat' will write the exam in S202/C120.
    Please check this site again on friday for updated room assignments.
    - In all rooms besides S313/36 and S202/C120 only german GdI1 exams are written.

  • [10.03.2008] For preparation of the exam, especially the Scheme part, we published the tasks of this years trial exam. Please note, that the Java part is not representative for the upcoming exam.
  • [05.03.2008] Due to a faulty export of the lab results to WebReg, there were partly incorrect results visible until this afternoon.
    The problem is fixed now, and the correct lab results can be looked up in WebReg now.
  • [04.03.2008] The points for the lab are visible in WebReg now. 72.5% were sufficient to get 120 points. Percentages beyond 82.5% were rewared between 0 and 10 additional points on a linear scale. The points have been rounded to multiples of 0.5.
    The points for bonus for the examare calculated as sum of your points in exercises, trial exam and lab (all published in webreg).

  • [12.02.2008] Lab: Now revision of task description and framework.zip posted. Some inconsistencies and minor errors fixed.

  • [04.02.2008] The lab group assignment is posted now and available via WebReg. Please check your RBG email account regulary, since this is the only way your group members and tutors can contact you!
  • [01.02.2008] We now also provide the JavaDoc documentation for the translator package. You can find it below next to the lecture slides for the GUI chapter.
  • [31.01.2008] Due to an exam during the lab exercise time period, the task description will be released on the web before the actual lab exercise period (February 18 - 19, 2008), on February 07, 2008. In order to ensure basic support, several tutors will offer consultation hours from February 11 to 15, 2008.

  • [22.01.2008] To use JUnit 4 in Eclipse, please follow these steps:
    1. Open the properties of the Eclipse project that shall use JUnit. To do so, press ALT+Enter on the project entry or select Project ->Properties from the menu
    2. Choose the tab Java Build Path
    3. Below the tab Libraries, press the button Add Library...
    4. In the dialog, choose JUnit and select "Junit 4" in the following step.
    5. Make sure in the Project Properties tab Java Compiler that your compiler is set to at least "5.0"!
  • [21.12.2007] The results of the Trial Exam (including points for each task) are published in Webreg. (Distribution of exam results can be seen here). An insight to the exams will be possible in the 2nd week of the exercises in the new year (15./18.1., please visit the group your registrated in webreg for).
  • [19.12.2007] The slides for writing proper JavaDoc documentation and the JAR file for the Christmas Tree demo are now available. To use the Christmas Tree demo, save it as a file and run java -jar XmasTree.jar or java -jar XmasTree.jar 10 (or any other value).
